Over the time, exposure to UV radiation of sunlight will degrade the plastic products. In order to prevent this product failure, UV protection additives are used in the formula. Plastic product can lose its color and durability under UV light.

There are two kinds of UV additives:

• UV Absorbers: Absorbs the UV Rays and converts them to heat and dissipates it.
• HALS ( Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers ): Removes the free radicals which are produced by photo oxidation of polymer that will cause the failure of product.
